»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Signs Second Agreement to Support Pre-Health Students
Jan 21, 2025

»Ê¼Ò»ªÈË is thrilled to announce a new articulation agreement for Pre-Medical students with the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (OCOM).
This articulation agreement provides a Guaranteed Interview for any qualified »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË current student or alumni for possible admission to OCOM by following a distinct academic protocol and demonstrating high achievement. The Guaranteed Interview Program acknowledges the rigor and quality of the pre-medical path at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË and a pathway that is designed to affirmatively advance graduates of »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË who perform well at the undergraduate level into the admissions process at OCOM.
In addition to the articulation agreement with OCOM, »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË has an established Early Acceptance Program (EAP) with LECOM (Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine) for Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Podiatry students. LECOM has multiple health professional school campuses around the nation, including one locally in Bradenton, Florida. allows qualified students to be given a provisional letter of acceptance (a reserved seat) to one of LECOM’s professional schools upon completion of a successful interview.
“The new OCOM Guaranteed Interview Program and the previously established LECOM Early Acceptance Program are great options for our »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË Pre-Health students to have direct lines towards admission to two of Florida’s most innovative health professional schools for professions like osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and podiatry,” said Erin Myszkowski, Ed.D, Executive Director of Career Services for »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË.
Application to the EAP can occur as early as the senior year in high school and up until the start of the third year at an affiliated undergraduate school, depending upon the Program and Track desired. Affiliates must be officially enrolled in the EAP at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË for two consecutive years prior to matriculating at LECOM.
